Thinking of ways you can increase the value of your home or even give yourself a little extra space?
25 August

With property prices on the rise, many more home owners are making the most out of the space we already have in our homes. One of the most popular spaces being converted is the loft.
Like the majority of us, you probably use your loft to store Christmas decorations, suitcases, old photographs and toys that the kids don’t play with any more. It’s the one place that probably gets neglected when it comes to a spring clean but holds some of the biggest space potential in your home.
With some careful planning (and sorting), your loft space can give you the perfect opportunity to create more room in your home.
According to GetAgent.co.uk research it costs around £33,500 to convert a loft, however home values are typically increased by around £51,000 in the process.
If you don’t have that kind of budget but still want to add some value to your home then adding a downstairs toilet can add around 5% to your house price while updating your kitchen could add an extra £14,000.
