We love where you live: Cricklade
22 October

Did you know Cricklade used to be home to the Royal Mint?
That’s right, it was the home of a royal mint from 979 to 1100. We believe there are still some Cricklade coins in the museum today. It’s one of the many historical treasures of this small town.
Cricklade is steeped in history. It has over 100 listed buildings, many of them can be found on the High Street, many of which we are lucky enough to see from our office.
Our McFarlane team has been based in Cricklade for nearly 10 years. We first opened our doors in February 2012. In that time we’ve come to learn more and more about the town and each day we fall in love with it that little bit more.
Who doesn’t love to be able to take a stroll down the Thames Path or visit the popular North Meadow nature reserve? Enjoy the historical landmarks of St Sampson's and St. Mary’s Church, the town hall and not forgetting commemorative clock marking Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee. You can even stop off along the way for a quick drink at one of the local pubs or cafes.
Cricklade has so much to offer those who live here and it’s true, we love it too.
